According to Monza's official statement, Antov's contract has been automatically extended for another year, expiring in the summer of 2027.


About Valentin Antov


The 25-year-old Valentin Antov was born on November 9, 2000, in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. He is 1.87 meters tall and primarily plays as a center-back, but can also play as a right-back or defensive midfielder.


Antov joined CSKA Sofia's youth academy at the age of seven and completed his first-team debut in August 2015 at the age of 14. He is also the youngest captain in CSKA Sofia's club history.


During his five-year spell with CSKA Sofia, Antov won the Bulgarian Cup once.


In February 2021, Antov joined Bologna on-loan.


In August of the same year, Antov was loaned-out to Monza, with his ownership being permanently purchased in the summer of 2022.


In the summer of 2023, Antov was loaned-out to Cremonese for two seasons.


Over the past two years, Antov has made 70 appearances for the Serie A club in all competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists.
