Hoffenheim officially announced the signing of Austrian international Patrick Wimmer.

Hoffenheim Football Club is pleased to announce the successful signing of Austrian national team player Patrick Wimmer. The 25-year-old Wimmer joined the team from Wolfsburg and has reached a long-term agreement with the club. This signing is an important part of Hoffenheim's summer squad planning, aimed at further enhancing the team's overall competitiveness.  

Patrick Wimmer's arrival undoubtedly adds new possibilities to Hoffenheim's attack and gives Christian Ilzer more options in his tactical setup. The Austrian international will next play for his national team in the World Cup before returning to his club to begin a new chapter in the Bundesliga.  

Hoffenheim's sporting director, Paul Pajduch, said: "Patrick Wimmer is a well-rounded and versatile player who can adapt to multiple attacking roles and has already demonstrated his level in the Bundesliga. His aggressive style of play and excellent one-on-one ability are a perfect match for our tactical philosophy."
