Daniel Bentley: The training is indeed very tough, but we believe that the effort we put in now will pay off in the future.
Wolves goalkeeper Daniel Bentley stated that new manager Cesar Pesciotto has set extremely high standards for the team during preseason training, with a very intense pace. However, he believes these efforts will pay off in the new season. With José Sá still on holiday after the World Cup and Sam Johnstone temporarily unable to train due to injury, Daniel Bentley is currently the only senior first-team goalkeeper in the team's Portugal training camp, actively helping younger goalkeepers develop and sharing his match experience.

Daniel Bentley recently celebrated his birthday with his teammates during their training camp in Portugal. After their first high-intensity training session in the Algarve, the goalkeeper also shared how the team has been improving communication, strengthening cohesion, and building team chemistry both on and off the training ground.
Daniel Bentley said, "I feel like I'm away from home almost every year for a game or training camp on my birthday. It's become a part of being a professional player, and I'm slowly getting used to it. On Sunday, I had a simple birthday celebration with my wife and kids, cut the cake, and received gifts from them, just like any other day. Although I can't be with my family right now, I'm still very happy to spend this day with so many great teammates."
“We spent almost half the day traveling, but we were already very familiar with the place, so we started training immediately after we arrived. Since this training camp is only a week long, we must make the most of every day, not only to improve our physical condition, but also to strengthen team cohesion, enhance understanding between teammates, and adapt to the tactical concepts of the new season as soon as possible.”
"This week's training was indeed very tough, with the overall intensity maintained at a very high level. However, everyone gave their all and remained united, successfully completing all the training content. I believe that these efforts will definitely pay off in the future, and I hope that we can continue to maintain this momentum, while improving our teamwork and cohesion, and finish this training camp in better physical condition and with stronger capabilities."
"As one of the more experienced players on the team, I've always been aware of the responsibilities I bear, so the current situation hasn't changed much for me. I have several young goalkeepers around me, and I try my best to share my match experience with them, offering advice and support when they need help. I believe this is the responsibility of a senior player and goalkeeper. From the perspective of leading the team, I've always been playing this role."
“From the beginning of my professional career until now, I have spent most of my time as a member of the team’s leadership team, and I have always been willing to share my accumulated experience with my teammates. Although I am only 33 years old, I have participated in many games and experienced a lot. As long as my experience can help the people around me improve, I will provide support without reservation. I think this is a very meaningful thing.”
