Ajay Mitchell believes the Thunder will achieve excellent results in the new season.

The Oklahoma City Thunder, in a key game of the NBA Western Conference Finals Round 7, suffered a 103-111 defeat at home to the San Antonio Spurs, despite crucial scoring from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Carson Wallace, and Alex Caruso. The Thunder lost the series 3-4 and failed to advance to the NBA Finals. Ajay Mitchell stated that he is very much looking forward to the new season and believes the team will achieve better results.

In the 2025/26 NBA regular season, 23-year-old Ajay Mitchell played 57 games for the Oklahoma City Thunder, averaging 13.6 points per game with a field goal percentage of 48.5% and a three-point percentage of 34.7%.

It is worth noting that Oklahoma City Thunder shooting guard Ajay Mitchell was injured in the third round of the Western Conference Finals and therefore missed subsequent key games.

Ajay Mitchell stated, "The thing I'm most confident about is the effort I put in last offseason. When I came back here last September, I felt great. I told myself I would do everything I could to make an impact and help this team. So when I came back, I felt like I could really help the team."

"It was definitely a fantastic journey, and I feel there are still many areas where I can do better and many aspects that I need to continue to improve."
