Cologne have officially bought out Wolfsburg attacker Kaminski, signing him to a contract until 2029.

FC Köln announced on Tuesday that they have officially bought out Wolfsburg loan player Jakob Kaminski. As is customary, neither side disclosed the contract length or other details of the signing.

The 23-year-old Kaminski primarily plays as a left winger, but can also play as a right winger, left midfielder, right midfielder, right back, and attacking midfielder. He previously played for Lech Poznań and Wolfsburg, and is considered an outstanding representative of Poland's new generation of attacking players.

In June 2025, Kaminski joined Cologne on loan from Wolfsburg. To date, he has made 36 appearances for Cologne, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists.

According to a previous report by Sky Sports Germany, Kaminski will sign a contract with Cologne until June 30, 2029. His buyout fee is approximately €5.5 million, and the contract includes a release clause worth €22 million.

Following the completion of the transfer, Cologne's general manager Thomas Kessler stated: "From the very first contact, Kuba's character has impressed the club. He is humble, full of fighting spirit, and a team player. Over the past season, he has demonstrated these qualities day after day, both on and off the pitch."
